Agricultural and management experience with over 36+ years in government and non-government development sectors and implemented development projects across Gilgit-Baltistan.

His Proven expertise in agri-based livelihoods, community research, extension, monitoring & evaluation, and institutional management.

He served as Director Agriculture Research & Extension (Gilgit & Baltistan) and Agriculture GB, successfully supervised provincial and regional agriculture-based development programs.

Working experience with AKRSP and ADB assisted national level project “Agribusiness Development and Diversification Project” as Horticulture Specialist.

Worked as Deputy Secretary Food, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.

He also Worked as Team Leader of a JICA assisted technical project on Apple and Apricot production through LSOs in Hunza and Kharmang valleys.

Key Initiatives Include

·         Registration and multiplication of disease-free seed potato varieties in GB.

·         Introduction of tissue culture systems for fruit plants for the first time in GB.

·         Establishment of E-Extension system and honeybee farming as sustainable income sources.

·         Promotion of floriculture, buckwheat, and “One Village One Product” concept for income generation in GB.

·         Designed and implemented projects worth Rs. 700+ million and transformed GB subsistence horticulture into a commercial industry through public-private and public-producer partnerships.
