District Representative Kot Addu

Sajjad Hyder Baloch

Sajjad Haider Baloch has joined ARM as District Representative of Kot Addu. He lives in Tehsil District Kot Addu, Bait Faqir Wali, Western Bank of Head Taunsa Barrage

He  has highly educated M.A. in Islamic Studies, MBA, M.Sc. in Pakistan Studies, Fazil-e-Arabi, BS English in Applied Linguistics.

After completing my B.A. heremained associated with the textile industry for several years (Koh-e-Noor Textile Mills, Raiwind Manga Raiwind Road, Lahore). He witnessed firsthand the decline of the agricultural and cotton industry, which was once Pakistan’s international identity. The cotton industry used to provide around 50% of employment. Gradually, industries started shutting down and industrial machinery was shifted to other countries, such as Bangladesh.

In 2007, He moved to the city of Lahore. During this period, he completed his M.A. Islamic Studies and joined the teaching profession. He taught Social Sciences subjects at O-Level and A-Level. Later, he also completed M.Sc. in Pakistan Studies and MBA.

While teaching Geography, he developed a deep realization of the devastation of Pakistan’s agriculture. The bureaucratic system established by the East India Company, the absence of an effective and comprehensive agricultural policy, criminal negligence by those responsible for the agricultural sector, and the continuation of traditional and makeshift farming practices instead of modern scientific agricultural methods are major issues. Due to the lack of awareness and training programs for farmers, valuable resources are being wasted.
