It is great honor to Agriculture Reform Movement (ARM) Prof. Dr. Abdul Rasheed is General Secretory of  ARM.        Prof. Dr. Abdul Rasheed is Plant Pathologist by profession and is expert of managing plant diseases with medicinal plant extracts to discourage chemical use. He is an advocate of climate impacts on plant diseases. He has served a sizable period in the Department of Plant Protection with prime focus on Pest Forecasting, Pest Monitoring and Disease Predictive Models based on Epidemiological Factors. As Pesticides Inspector, he launched a special campaign against Pesticides Mafia. In the Agriculture University Faisalabad, he was the pioneer member of five Directorates/ Centers in the veracity and he excelled best of his best potential to introduce new heights to Research Innovation and Commercialization in Agriculture. Resultantly UAF ORIC got Top Position consecutively for three times among all the ORICs in Pakistan. His services for the farming community in terms of farmer friendly language literature, issue sensitization and campaign for Tree Plantation are highly commendable.

He was Editor of UAF ORIC News, and Associate Editor of three scientific research journals and member of Editorial boards of variety of scientific research Journals. He is General Secretary of Agriculture Reforms Movement (ARM) and Member Editorial Board of Sohny Dherty Magazine.

He joined Govt. of Punjab in May 1991 till May 2004. He served UAF from June 2004 to April 2025. He was UAF Biosafety Officers dealing with Transgenic

There are 85 scientific Research Publications (including more than 50% in international research journals)  are on the credit of Dr. Abdul Rasheed along with 105 Urdu articles on various Agriculture related issues. His PhD. research was on Bacterial Blight of Cotton, its Epidemiological Factors and Management through plant extracts. Dhutora (natural herb) was 10 times more effective than Streptomycin (a potential anti biotic). University of Agriculture Faisalabad awarded PhD degree to Dr. Rasheed in the year 2000 at Sr. No 250 which is now near to 4000

There was a project for managing Citrus Canker (a bacterial disease) through various approaches and it was submitted with the collaboration of Green Pages company to Pakistan Science Foundation for funding, it was approved but funds could not released due to unavailability of Chairman PSF.

Dr. Abdul Rasheed is also member of Steering Committee of Akhuwat Foundation (an interest free Pakistan’s largest Microfinance NGO), Faisalabad Division and Member Committee on Academia Industry Linkages, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI). 15 Projects were completed by Dr. Abdul Rasheed for Promotion related Mandatory 04 weeks Trainings for Officers of Govt. of the Punjab, Agri. Dept. and 18, Projects were also completed for Indigenous On Campus Trainings(IOTs) funded by Higher Education Commission( HEC). A project by Govt. of the Punjab for Under Graduate Internship (Rs.42.5 Million) and a project on Awareness on Hepatitis in School students in Faisalabad funded by HEC were completed as Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI). 09 Books as Co-Author and 20 booklets are on the credit of General Secretory of ARM.
