Zahid Hanif is qualified professional, he hold a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant Biotechnology with focus on Plant Protection in the context of Invasive Weed Management from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, and bring over 20 years of proven expertise in the field of agriculture. His specialization includes weed sciences particularly invasive weed management, biotechnology / molecular biology, climate change, plant protection, integrated pest management (IPM), biological control of pests, and extension of modern agricultural technology for adoption in the farming community. He has been involved in the formation of Water User Associations (WUA), emphasizing climate change adaptation and resilience. Functioning as an extension worker, He has successfully disseminated cutting-edge agricultural technology to the farming community through various channels, including workshops, seminars, field days, and Farmer Field Schools (FFS), including involvement of print, electronic and social media with a primary focus on climate-smart agricultural practices Additionally, moreover had also played a key role in educating students pursuing a Diploma in Agriculture Sciences (DAS) on the critical aspects of Plant Protection, Farm Management & Irrigation Agronomy. His skill set extends to project formulation, design, implementation, and the monitoring of physical activities at the field level. He has a proven ability to establish and maintain effective engagement with stakeholders, including both government and non-government organizations. Possess excellent skills in MS office, report writing and fluent in English, Urdu, and Pashto.
