ARM’s Joint Venture with other Organization

Coconut Nursery

Coconut Nursery of 30,000 plans was set up in the district of Thatta Sindh in 2008 with collaboration Periwinkle Agriculture Consultancy Services (PACS) successfully, which reduced the price of coconut plant from 1000 to 300 rupees in Karachi and around. Mr. Zafer Abbas Jafri is the CEO of PACS and provincial coordinator of Sindh province of ARM.

Saffron & Gladiolus Cultivation

A Saffron and Gladiolus cultivation project is also running in Neelum Valley AJK with collaboration of Kisan Forum Neelum (KFN) AJK about 1,00,000 Plants/Bulbs of Saffron were developed  to popularise Safron cultivation in Northern area of Pakistan and AJK. Now the cultivation of Saffron can also extend in areas like Neelum Valley. The flower stems of Gladiolus flower are being supplied in Islamabad market also. Mr. Javed Asad Ullah is Chairman of KFN, Neelum Valley.

Importance of Certified Seed

Awareness campaign was also launched with collaboration Bhutta Development Foundation (BDF) in Narowal district regarding importance, significance and need of certified seed in agriculture especially in arid areas like Narowal district.

E Mandi Project of Telenor Pakistan

In 2009 well known telecom company Telenor Pakistan initiated its two project Easy Paisa and E-Mondi. ARM got into an agreement with Telenor Pakistan in its innovative project E-Mondi. It is agreed between Telenor and ARM that ARM will give access to Telenor of its digital data of Green Pages and ARM will also up date the data of Green Pages ever month regularly. For this purpose an interface was developed to fetch data by the Telenor from ARM’s website www.greenpages.com.pk. Telenor purchased 1500 Green Pages Directories and also paid the cost of data and regular update cast also.
