Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Anjum is Ph. D Soil Sciences ISES, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in Soil Science/ Microbiology and Biochemistry. He has wide experience in bio fertilizers including Nitrogen fixers (legumes and non-legumes), Phosphors and Zinc solubilizes, bio control agents bio pesticides. Dr. Ashfaq is also expert in mineral, nutrients including micronutrients and organic fertilizers processing, utilization and method of application. Utilization and managing of salt affected and desert soils, water quality issues Soil and water conservation specialist and experience in pesticides analysis also.

Soil Salinity Research Institute, Department Of Agriculture (Research Wing) Pindi Bhattian, District Hafizabad.

·         Working as administrator and supervisor of all research activities.

·         To develop new strategies mitigating soil salinity / sodicity.

·         Supervision of all technical and non-technical staff regarding official matters.

·         Timely disposal of disciplinary proceedings.

·         To incur the expenditure in accordance with rules.

·         To look after the financial matters of the Institute.

·         To manage & supervise all research activities/correspondence external and internal matters.

·         To play active role in physical and financial development projects.

·         To plan and execute the research proposals and projects.

·         To compile periodical research reports and disseminate results to stake holders through radio talks, research papers, popular Urdu article, lectures and seminars.

·         To provide advisory services to farmers.
