Gulzar Shahid

Mr. Gulzar Shahid holds an MSc (Hons.) degree in Soil Sciences and Soil Microbiology. He has extensive experience in organic farming, micronutrients and micro-combination nutrients, and improving fertilizer efficiency in plants.

In addition to receiving various departmental and professional trainings from different institutions such as NARC, Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, NIAB, and PARB, he also completed a 7-day Extension Services training from the University of Cambridge in 2017.

Mr. Gulzar Shahid has worked extensively with private and departmental professionals experts, including Ziaullah Malik (Research Head, EVOL Group), Liaqat Hayat (Ali Akbar Group), Dr. Muhammad Arshad (Four Brothers Fertilizers), Dr. Sahibzada (NARC), Dr. Muhammad Asghar (Cotton Research Institute, Multan), and livestock expert Hafiz Wasi Muhammad—all of whom are part of his professional profile.

Additionally, he worked for two years with Tariq Niazi, Head of the Research Cell at NFC Faisalabad, where he gained hands-on experience in developing acidic fertilizers.

He has also worked at various farms under the Punjab Agriculture Extension Department, including serving as Farm Manager at Seed Farm Gojra (273 acres). He worked alongside Agriculture Officer Jibran Merbaloch at Sangla Hill, Manawala, Sherqpur, Kot Abdul Malik, Tandlianwala, Mamun Kanjan, Samundri, Jaranwala, and Toba Tek Singh, later he served also in Jhung, Gojra, Sergodah, Shorkot in official capacities.

During his two-year tenure at NFC, he provided agricultural consultancy to farmers at cotton farms in Shujabad, Manthar Bangla, Fatahpur, Layyah, Shakargarh, Narowal, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Jhang, Mamun Kanjan, Toba Tek Singh, Rajana, and Gojra.

Through social media, he also provides agricultural advisory services to farmers outside Pakistan, including those in Indian Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Australia, Spain, and Canada.
