Dr. Gulshan Irshad
Dr. Gulshan Irshad is a scientist of Pakistan in the field of Plant Pathology. She earned her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology (2013) from PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, Pakistan, with specialization in fungal pathology and disease management.
She completed her M.Sc. (Hons.) in Plant Pathology (2004) from PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, following her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Plant Pathology (2001) from the same institution.
Her major areas of specialization include Fungal Post-harvest Pathology, Seed Pathology, Precision Plant Pathology, and Mushroom Cultivation, with strong expertise in applied research and academic leadership.

Her research focuses on the development of digital plant disease diagnostic software and mobile applications utilizing IoT-based technologies. She is actively engaged in advancing spawn production and commercial mushroom cultivation technologies, including Morchella, Button, Milky, and Oyster mushrooms. Additionally, she works on the development of eco-friendly bioproducts for the management of fungal postharvest diseases, addressing key challenges faced by fruit agri-industry sectors.
